Standardized training is a regulatory requirement, and BRITI (The Blinded Reader and Investigator Training Institute) is the first and global leader in education and training on medical imaging in clinical trials. BRITI provides training for blinded readers, imaging site investigators, clinicians, CRA's, project managers and others involved in image evaluation from clinical trials.
BRITI has developed training and testing modules on a variety of topics relating to medical imaging in clinical trials and independent evaluations of trial data. These modules were developed by experts (and peer reviewed) with extensive experience in this area. The training can be provided either online on locally, individually or in groups.
Each training module discusses a topic in detail, and is followed by an examination. BRITI tracks detailed training parameters on each participant, and provides certification of completion of specific curricula.
Modules include introductory lectures on clinical development, blinded reading process, and various imaging evaluation criteria.
The Blinded Reader and Investigator Training Institute (BRITI) has become the first organization to offer a broad range of certified CME education and training on the use of medical imaging for pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech clinical trials.
BRITI offers clinical trial personnel detailed training and testing on a variety of topics related to the use of medical imaging in clinical trials, authored by experts and key opinion leaders in the field. The curricula have been developed in response to increasing regulatory requirements for training of trial personnel, and towards increasing data reliability and reducing study bias.
The BRITI training program provides both introductory and advanced courses on the use of medical imaging in clinical trials, including specific imaging-based efficacy criteria. Study-specific customized courses can also be rapidly developed and deployed to train pharmaceutical personnel, clinical investigators, on-site readers, and blinded readers.
BRITI is partnering with the International Center for Postgraduate Medical Education (ICPME) to develop high-quality, well-balanced educational programs of scientific rigor and integrity that are free from commercial bias.
